1947 was a good year. A lot of the tunes that we've learned, whether from Nat 'King' Cole, Louis Jordan or someone else -- those 1947 tunes come up a lot.

That's folk music, swing, country blues, old time country, jazz. It's the roots of American music.

It's one of those things where instead of saying, 'Yeah it's a good idea. We should do that sometime,' we just went ahead and did it.

We're planning on making that album. But besides that, it's a lot of fun.

It's a creepy one. The singer gets to lead that one. There are a bunch of times where we stop and she leads us. It was easier than we had thought it was. We thought it was so complicated, but there are only four chords to it.

When I started to sing like myself - as opposed to imitating Nat Cole, which I had done for a while - when I started singing like Ray Charles, it had this spiritual and churchy, this religious or gospel sound. It had this holiness and preachy tone to it. It was very controversial. I got a lot of criticism for it.
