A dispersing wolf doesn't mean that wolf recovery has started in Colorado. It's cool the wolf went a long way, but unless the wolf finds another wolf, no one should read anything into this.

If this is a wild wolf, and it looks like one to me, it's number eight.

We know that we've got wolves dispersing out of (the Great Lakes pack), but we only hear about them if they are killed or recovered somehow. They're looking for new territories, and some animals will disperse very long distances, hundred of miles.

Every phone in the place started ringing. We had between 30 to 50 phones calls in the newsroom and an equal number at the front office in a 15-minute period.
