The night walked down the sky with the moon in her hand.

On a night without the moon or stars you can’t see a thing, but you can imagine anything.

We love the night and its quiet; and there is no night that we love so well as that on which the moon is coffined in clouds.

Sweet the coming on / Of grateful evening mild; then silent night / With this her solemn bird and this fair moon, / And these the gems of heaven, her starry train.
