Clearly, this is very embarrassing, and very serious. The system is only as strong as its weakest link, and if perimeter guards aren't trained well enough to protect federal buildings, we're got a serious problem.

The bottom line is that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. And I have to believe from past experience and knowledge that some of the links in Homeland Security are weak. Part of the story in "Lost Light" is about a weak link in the chain.

If the leaks continue, we are strong as our weakest link. And I'll say it a little differently in a pun. We're strong as our weakest leak.
