a lot of these Republicans have never been in the minority and a lot of them have come up through the House and not started as senators, so they don't give it quite the same respect that has been there in the past.

There's always twenty or thirty Republicans or twenty or thirty Democrats that sort of move away from the party line, so you've got to make sure that they are all happy. It's gonna be real tough, it's gonna be real tough.

When the Republicans controlled the House from 1994 -2006, Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Henry Waxman Charlie Rangel, John Conyers and Rahm Emanuel weren't saying we need to move right to win. They stuck to their philosophy. And they fought against Reagan and they fought against the Bushes. And eventually they did win.

They're taking away another freedom. It's easy to do; we're another minority.

The Republicans are coming -- make nice.

I wouldn't take him lightly at all, ... Without him, the Republicans have no one. With him, they have someone who has a record of achievement.
