A simple explanation would be punk rock. We call it slant rock. It can go in a lot of directions.

They were kinda genre-less. When they first came out, people couldn't classify them. They were a stepping stone for a broader culture of music.

It's such a beacon for a lot of the music that influenced us.

Just because some punk kids talk crap to security guards and old ladies and happen to have skateboards in their hands doesn't mean we're all that way. I've met mean security guards and mean old ladies. Anyone can be mean.

Play before you get good, because by the time you get good, you're too old to play.
