A suicide attacker attempted to enter the police station at 10:30 a.m. When police stopped him, he blew himself up and killed 13 people on the spot besides wounding 13 others.

The attacker wanted to enter the police headquarters. He was stopped by the police for searching. During that time he blew himself up, killing 13, seven police and six civilians.

The attackers used rocket-propelled grenade and machine guns in the gruesome event.

Two rockets exploded in area last night at about 9 p.m. but fortunately left no casualties.
