A voteless people is a hopeless people.

People live inside the stories they tell themselves. Others see about you the things that you believe.

As far as I know, only politicians can make this kind of miracle staying more than 30 years of their entire life lying or hiding from the electors what really happen behind the political curtain of our status quo. This is one of the rare cases that a politician can swear in front of any deity or authority without any hesitation: “I really appreciate your ignorance or indifference about politics. It’s a blessing for me in my lifetime”.

It’s important that young people know about the struggles we faced to get to the point we are today. Only then will they appreciate the hard-won freedom of blacks in this country.

Bigotry and sexism destroy the unity needed for a nation to live.

If you won't stand up against those who tear us apart with their lies, hate, and bigotry, expect to do a lot of sitting down.
