Absolutely, (he's the front-runner). He's got name recognition. He's run campaigns in every county in the state. And he's got money.

Having run before and served in the U.S. Senate, McCain will start out as a front-runner nationally and that translates to South Carolina.

Jim Gibbons has always been an outsider. The tax restraint initiative went to initiative because the Legislature wouldn't consider it. I think the Republicans, even though they don't like him, are going to have to come to the realization that he is the guy.
