Adam and Lander are both successful because of way they go about it. They have played for years and don't take any shortcuts. They do it all right ? from fitness to taking the younger kids under their wings. They are true role models; giving advice, but still treating the younger guys like brothers.

It would be nice to know where Luna 9 is, the first successful lander. We may want to set up a register of historic sites, not to be disturbed by future missions or hardware impacts. To do that we need accurate locations.

I just went out there and played my game and I was successful. I don't know what was wrong with (Lillydahl); I guess he was tired because he wasn't even going for balls that much.

With the way [Adam] Dunn, [Ken] Griffey [Jr.] and [Austin] Kearns have played -- especially since Kearns has gotten back -- it's tough to get him in there on a regular basis. I don't know if he does, but it seems like he enjoys hitting in this ballpark. I wouldn't blame him. He's done a great job in the opportunities he's had.

Adam and Tom have played very well, probably above what we expected. They?ve been solid.

Adam played great and finished off strong this morning. It was nice to be there or thereabouts.
