After he gave up that homer in the sixth, I think he had a little talk with himself. He just put the hammer down after that. He wanted to pitch a complete game.

I think we'd like to see his ceiling or find his niche,

I think it was as important for the group to win without Todd in the lineup as it was for Todd to see the group win without him,

That's not the way it is. I think it takes some pressure off of him. And it shows those guys what they are capable of collectively.

Offensively, he is finding his niche. I think he is well aware there is probably more there. Most of the questions everybody had about him going in should be answered by now. They have for me.

That kind of stuff, the notoriety, the pomp and circumstance, I think he's aware of it, but he doesn't get taken aback by it, nor does he get a big head over it. He's a very even-tempered kid. I just think he probably expects more of himself than [the fans and media] ever will.
