It's hard enough to write a good drama, it's much harder to write a good comedy, and it's hardest of all to write a drama with comedy. Which is what life is.

One book that I read called “Comedy Writing Secrets” by Helitzer made a great point. He said that most of being funny is the CHARACTER and not the jokes.

That is writing with balls, it seems to me.
