All of the Ivy League institutions are looking hard at making sure they meet the needs of low income students.

We serve the surrounding neighborhoods, and many are transient and come from low-income families. These are the students we aim to serve, and we don't turn them away. We're here to help them.

Statistically speaking, the chances of moving up (the) income distribution (curve) is less than it was a decade ago. Students with debt face real concerns with the shrinking middle marketplace.

A lot of these students come from low income families and they don't feel as if they have the capabilities of doing anything else. We open up a world and say yes you can.

Because we think financial aid is an important component for low income students that might not otherwise go to college, we want to be able to serve more students with more money, especially the neediest.

I think that it is an excellent opportunity for all the students, and especially for the lower income students and middle income family kids to get to go somewhere. It is also a perfect opportunity for students that are not the academic stars to shine in front of their peers.
