Allen made a great play. They were really stopping the run in the first half, but we thought if we could get on track that he might be able to break one.

It's a good sign of the character of these kids. We're pretty pleased with that.

Number one, we have some guts. They've worked hard to find something extra in the tank at the end of a game. Number two, the kids expect to win and do what it takes to win.

He keeps it simple and pushes the kids hard and teaches to take pride in your responsibilities.

It's fun to win and you play to win. Amazingly, when I went to spring training, the thought was to win it all. The thought has always been to win it all. So far, we've continued to win. We've won all year. But there was no thought of playing .500 or being competitive. The only thought was winning it all. It's fun.

I thought if we'd ever taken the lead, I thought that thought might start coming back into their minds that they can't win the big one. But we never took the lead, so we never saw how they'd react.
