And do not speak of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead; nay, (they are) alive, but you do not perceive.

And reckon not those who are killed in Allah's way as dead; nay, they are alive (and) are provided sustenance from their Lord; / Rejoicing in what Allah has given them out of His grace and they rejoice for the sake of those who, (being left) behind them, have not yet joined them, that they shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve.

Nay; but he has not done what He bade him.

But nay! I swear by that which you see, / And that which you do not see.

Nay! obey him not, and make obeisance and draw nigh (to Allah).

Since we have to speak well of the dead, let's knock them while they're alive.
