And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye.

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump.

And others are made to await Allah's command, whether He chastise them or whether He turn to them (mercifully), and Allah is Knowing, Wise.

And they swear by Allah with the most energetic of their oaths that if you command them they would certainly go forth. Say: Swear not; reasonable obedience (is desired); surely Allah is aware of what you do.

Therefore wait patiently for the command of your Lord, and obey not from among them a sinner or an ungrateful one.

He is about command as much as he is about velocity. If you had one you had to do without, it would be velocity. But right now he's having trouble with his command.
