And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him.

The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: when he meeteth him, he shall slay him.

And when they were departed from him, (for they left him in great diseases,) his own servants conspired against him for the blood of the sons of Jehoiada the priest, and slew him on his bed, and he died: and they buried him in the city of David, but they buried him not in the sepulchres of the kings.

When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the LORD came unto him, / Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold.

But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, LORD, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation? / Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.

Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.
