Angie handled her injury with great heart and grace, finishing out the season on the sidelines in support of her teammates all the way. Angie remained a leader, and I will forever remember her positive attitude as she dealt with such a devastating personal situation.

As an injured fifth year starting setter, she had no choice but to cheer her team on from the sidelines instead of directing the action on the court. Watching from courtside was certainly not what she had in mind for her final season of collegiate competition, but she continued to be an important contributor to the team and gave continual positive and enthusiastic support to her teammates.

Attitude and discipline are two integral parts to the success of a person and Angie personifies greatness in both of these categories. She makes the most of her abilities and doesn't waste time waiting for things to happen in her life. She makes them happen. Angie's accomplishments as a student-athlete and a young woman provide an example of her abilities and potential for future accomplishments.
