Apple made a misjudgment that there's no market for subscription services.

The labels are pushing the subscription services approach.

There are so many different ways to listen to your favorite bands. Everything from digital albums and singles, subscription services like Rhapsody or Napster, Internet radio, satellite radio, music on cell phones, CDs with added content.

It has no real financial impact on me. And I'm not the angry-getting type. If they prorated my subscription fee, I think they owe me 85 cents or something like that.

No matter who you go with, the services are going to be about the same. It comes down to your calling patterns, what your in-state rates are and the billing increments.
