Artists, musicians, scientists - if you have any kind of visionary aptitude, it's often something that you don't have a choice in. You have to do it.

Artists are traditionally resistant to labels.

What I really like is an intelligent review. It doesn't have to be positive. A review that has some kind of insight, and sometimes people say something that's startling or is so poignant.

I am especially thrilled to be working closely with an incredibly creative and passionate group of scientists, artists, designers and engineers who constitute the faculty and students of the lab. I see this exceptional community working together over the next decade to overcome some of the world's most pressing societal problems -- from providing improved health care to an aging population, to devising inexpensive digital tools for developing economies, to changing the way children learn.

[Working with such a wide array of artists also] made my singing better, ... I needed to be with musicians to reinforce me.

This should put some steel in their spine. Canadians overwhelmingly understand that musicians and other artists are harmed by illegal file-swapping and deserve better protection under the law.
