Arts and Crafts was never there to prevent industrial growth. It was there to tailor it.

The Arts and Crafts Movement was about design for living. It was design for ordinary people. That was a passion that was represented no matter what country Arts and Crafts evolved in.

One of the overriding criteria for including an object in the show was the quality of its craftsmanship, ... As long as the quality of design and the quality of production were high, it was an Arts and Crafts object.

It's not intended to be a comprehensive study of the Arts and Crafts Movement. It's a look at how people in other countries took the Arts and Crafts ideas that were developed in the (United Kingdom) and made them their own.

[The movement still] resonates with the way we live and work today, ... With its concern for such things as local production, appreciation for the natural world and emphasis on quality, it chimes with many of the issues facing us today.

While it's true that there is stronger growth in demand for DVDs, many of our customers have VHS recorders and therefore still want VHS tapes. We will continue to sell the VHS tapes as long as there is a demand from our customers.
