As a team, we play defense well and our kids listen. Memphis did a poor job at the free throw line (26-of-41) and that really kept us in the game.

Turnovers were big and we did a very poor job of rebounding. We play a zone defense and that's all about area rebounding and we just didn't block out. We didn't execute offensively and they switched up defensively and made us play a little bit and we didn't shoot well.

Patrick did a good job and we moved some guys around on defense. We started to play a little more solid.

Everyone is doing their part this season on both ends of the court. You can play the best defense, but you also have to score to win the games as well.

We've got to play a lot better defense than we did in the first game. Obviously, we're facing a team with more speed than South Whidbey. We need to continue to improve, have everybody do their job on defense and keep them in the corral.

Defense was the major flaw of our play. We never gave the offense a chance to shine because of poor passing and serve receive.
