As I prepare for this next phase in my life, I ask that people continue to offer the prayers that have protected me thus far. I also pray that I will always see those who are not seen and easy to forget in the hustle and bustle of Washington politics.

I ask everyone in Russia to pray for me, beginning with the bishops, whose whole life is a single prayer. I ask prayers also of those who humbly do not believe in the efficacy of their prayers, as well as of those who do not believe in prayer at all and even consider it useless.

I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life.

For those of you who pray, I ask that you pray that I will always judge with wisdom and integrity as a faithful servant of the law.

Your life continues in those who continue the revolution.

Motown will always be a heavy-duty part of my life because those are my roots.
