As the sweaty, alcohol fuming bodies press in on me from all directions I decide that my ideal of a good time is reading a good novel, alone

We are not lonely, because we chose to be alone.

There is lonely, and there is alone time. I have found that both have etched character upon my soul.

I like working alone. I feel freer, less constrained. I know what I have to do and I try to do it. There are no superficial hangups.

My loneliness was an important part of my own little universe, not some pathological disease that needs to be gotten [sic] rid of.

Just imagine, life to be a dance with different kind of rhythms depending on what music is playing in the background. Sometimes we may dance alone and that’s OK, as some songs are simply meant to be danced like that. Practice! Don’t stop! It’s your dance!
