Asian Americans haven't had as many opportunities as other people to build their careers in Hollywood, just because there hasn't been that much of an interest, especially in Asian American males.

It's not at all my objective to become an Asian-American star.

'Mulan' is an iconic story for the Asian American community.

For me, I'm just trying to be the best at what I do. I'll wave an Asian American flag if I get that opportunity. I'm not hiding or trying to discredit my background or anything, I just haven't had the opportunity.

But to pretend that all was right with the world, I first had to know what was wrong.

I want to be a representative and be a role model for the Asian American community.
