At Pixar, we do sequels only when we come up with a great idea, and we always strive to be different than the original.

A great idea is usually original to more than one discoverer. Great ideas come when the world needs them. Great ideas surround the world's ignorance and press for admission.

Everybody's idea of a great book is different, of course. For me it's one that makes my jaw drop on every page, the writing is so original.

To have a great idea, have a lot of them.

And to be different is great. You don't want to be the same.

A great idea is like a big camp fire & all small opposing minds that dare it may be consumed.
