The bet was that you were going to take me to lunch or dinner, ... So what's it going to be?

I think some people take for granted where their lunch and dinner come from. I don't think they really stop and think about what it takes to get their food on the table.

And you can get a sit-down [meal] usually much cheaper at lunch than you can at dinner. So why not splurge on the midday meal and then try to economize later in the day?
