Auditions can be very intimidating and that is not what we are all about. That is why we hold auditions by appointment only. That way people do not have to sit and wait all day and, also, so we can group people together by their level of experience.

It is a fast-paced, adorable little comedy. Two young men have the leads in the play. One is a Jewish guy and the other is Italian. There are parts in the play for a handful of other older men and women, but I do not want to give too much about the play away just yet.

I never simply go with experience. Some very inexperienced people can make great actors for certain roles.

I think people involved in politics make good actors. Acting and politics both involve fooling people. People like being fooled by actors. When you get right down to it, they probably like being fooled by politicians even more. A skillful actor will make you think, but a skillful politician will make you never have to think.

Food stamps are an investment in our future.

But I like to know that someone is stronger than I am. I want to be able to know that if I get tired, somebody is there to hold up the fort. I like knowing that I can't pick a refrigerator alone. God did not make me strong enough to do that.
