Avalanches are going to be much larger than most people have ever seen.

The person that was skiing was actually able to get themselves up onto a tree and keep themselves above the snow so that person was unharmed. The second person, a female, was caught in the avalanche.

They actually got to the top and were skiing down a ridge, which is normal avalanche safety.

We've been called out with search and rescue this week more than we have in so many years. And there's a reason, it's because it's so dangerous out there now.
