Baseball fans west of New York City might hate the Yankees, but Yankee-hating is a good thing for the sport. Stadiums sell out, ratings go up and a team's own shortcomings can be blamed on someone else.

New York didn't need that 1969 pennant...all Cub fans wanted was that one measly pennant. It would have kept us happy until the twenty-first century. But New York took that from us and I can never forgive that.

I won't be surprised if the New York fans treat the Saints the same way we were treated in Kansas City — before the game.

In New York, in Philly, you know they're revved up. Here, it's like the fans have a football mentality.
