Because of this legislation, parents will not be forced to split their children between different schools. This bill ensures that the vast improvement in education at 21st Century can continue into the future.

While passage of this legislation will do nothing to bring back Carlie Brucia and other children who have been brutally murdered by predators, it can save other families the anguish of losing a child to the most unthinkable of violent acts,

It's not the education; it's the social issues in the schools. The children are troubled there. The parents are troubled. There's no cure in sight.

They say they will move away or [allow their children to] transfer [to private schools] if the referendum does not pass.

The progress is just amazing. The children are in our schools; the parents are in our community. When we work together, we just make the community better. The more we can do, the better product our schools are going to have.

Parents may refer their children to the program. We also get referrals from schools, police officers, physicians, fire departments and the juvenile courts in Summit and surrounding counties.
