Being captain means more in hockey than in any sport. You wear that 'C' on your sweater, and you have an obligation to lead. Messier was all about that.

I think it's just another one of those hockey things. I'm not sure anybody can find out why it happens. It just sort of grows on its own.

It's impossible for me to go back and put on that hockey sweater again.

To me, Ramon is always going to be the captain even if he doesn't wear the armband. He's someone who everyone looks up to ... They come in and they respect him. (Ramon) is a great guy, he fights for the team; I can't see anyone else be more of a leader than him.

I always wear my sweater back-to-front; it is so much more flattering.
