Generalised anger and frustration is something that gets you in the studio, and gets you to work - though it's not necessarily evident in anything that's finished.

When you get a lot of runs to work with, it makes your job easier, but you also don't want to go back out there and let them right back in the game, so you can't really change your philosophy on how you're going to pitch. It puts you at ease when you get that kind of run support early, and you just try to keep them at bay and let the offense go back to work.
