Bernie blocked better and played better than he's ever played in his career.

Cassie Lassen played the best game of her career by far. She just stepped it up and played at the next level we need her to. It was a great team effort tonight. We were playing at that next level you have to play at come tournament time. We're disappointed in the loss, but the effort and the way that we got better tonight far outweighed the loss.

I'm very fortunate to have a career that has lasted as long as it has. Did I think it would last this long? No way!

The guys are smart enough to know that this was a mismatch. These guys lost seven players (to academic suspensions) last week. They're very thin.

It just showed me the type of person he is, that he was glad that he was here and whatever he could do at that time without being able to play on Saturdays he was willing to do for the team.

[Not that anyone wants to fall into the trap of looking too far ahead.] We don't talk about that, ... To be in the mix is good this late in the season, but I hope our guys are all smart enough to figure out it's about (Purdue) this week. All the focus is on this week, and no further than this week.
