Anyone who knows the history of the Pete Best Band or the Combo, we were on the verge of breaking in in America. In the mid-'60s, I had great songwriters; we wrote some great stuff.

My parents treat me like I'm 14. They make me clean my room and stuff like that. They're always like "I don't care what MTV says you are."

We were at our best when we were playing in the dance halls of Liverpool and Hamburg. The world never saw that.

I'm not going to be hardened by these people, to these things, I'm not going to let them destroy my feelings or my emotions.
