Both Josh Klein (127) and Jon Saylor (217) were not at 100 percent going into their bouts and I saw they were hurting a little so I threw in the towel rather than risk any further injury.

We knew we were going to have a rough time. We lost a couple of close bouts. For the most part we wrestled hard in front of a very hostile Mesa High crowd.

Josh was not up to par. He had a double-whammy. He played about 60 percent of the game I suppose, and he was about 60 percent (healthy). We probably didn't give (Franklin Heights) our best shot, but they're a very good basketball team, and when you travel on the road in the OCC it's difficult.

Normally there is a diversion of 2 to 3 percent. Instead we saw an increase. We bucked the trend and swung to get 5 percent.

I throw better than anybody in college and I can throw with anybody in the pros. There, that's what I think.

We thought it better to pull him rather to risk further injury if he continued to wrestle.
