Both of the break-ins probably occurred during late-night or early-morning hours, and most likely involved kids. But we have very few leads, and they are nothing significant. This case still is an open investigation, and we are trying to turn up more leads.

Some of the increases are due to gang activity, but some types of incidents involve a large congregation of kids.

During the second incident, access was gained to two classrooms and items were stolen.

I want it to be dark at night. Many of the kids don't know what dark is.

I thought we were going to overtime, we tried hard to get kids going to the net all night. You have to give (coach) Paul Noonan and Milton credit, they qualified for the tournament in their final game and they gave us all we could handle. I hope it's a wake-up call.

We'll be here all night, depending on how far we get.
