Brett was seen by doctors and they are happy with the progress of treatment so far. The problem areas around his left knee appear to have improved.

He will undergo intensive treatment and will be reassessed late next week.

It hasn't healed yet, but it's functional.

We'd like more time of course but we're confident he's responding to treatment and he'll have more treatment today. We'd like to make a decision today but may wait until tomorrow.

He will continue to receive treatment and will be monitored over the next couple of days and a decision regarding his availability for Sunday will be made in due course.

From the x-rays, there doesn't seem to be any major (fracture) but we are waiting for a full report on that. Every ankle injury is different but I think we are faced with a (serious) tear of the lateral ligament and there is associated bone bruising.
