(Buchanan) made an unbelievable play. He did a great job blocking the plate.

There was a lot of great baseball, and there was a lot of ugly baseball. It was like a heavyweight fight that went back and fourth.

You try to get to that moment when someone can come through. We had one of the best hitters in the state (Manning) up, and he came through.

There's no difference in the way we play, but there's a difference intensity-wise. Coach (English) is a very intense coach. He's going to light a spark under you. We've had really intense and physical practices that I had never experienced here while I've been here so far.

It was all I lived for, to play baseball.

I'm excited to see how he does. He's small but he can go out and play against the bigger guys and be tough about it. His cuts are unbelievable. You don't want to overrun him. He can make it tough on a lot of defenders.
