Carl definitely could become a starter, you bet.

We feel like he can be a starter in this league, and we don't feel like there's much lost if one our linebackers goes down because of his versatility.

You can't do that to Carl.

I don't know if this is going to keep him from being a starter. We'll see how he comes out of it, where he is when he comes back to the mound.
