Carroll has got to be one of the strongest teams in the Corpus Christi area this year. If they're not, then whoever is stronger has got to be state-ranked.

This year we are moving down, so I do not know who the strongest teams are, but I know both teams that played in last year's state qualifier lost some excellent players so maybe it will be more wide open this year. Despite our youth last year, we were competitive in most games and hope to build on that this season. Last year's experience should help us.

One has to assume that because we haven't seen them they have actually left the bay and the Corpus Christi Ship Channel and are back out in the Gulf.

This is going to be one of the strongest teams we have ever had. Our team is young, so our future is looking even better for us.

We'll have a bang-up festival next year. Not that this one won't be great.
