Coach [C. Vivian Stringer] told us before it even started that it was going to come down to the last seconds.

It comes down to a lack of focus and discipline. Like coach stresses time and time again, we have the elements. It's just a matter of us collectively putting it together. I mean, it can't come from her, it's just a mindset that we have to have. It comes from us. There's no more that she can give us.

It's big to come and win here. It's the first time in history. I'm happy for coach Stringer. We look at it as a step toward the Big East title.

Everybody came back to their senses (in the second half) and we started making smart plays on the offensive end. But they were able to attack (early) and get the momentum. The intensity level for them was very high and they're going to surprise some people.

We've tried for four years, and it's big to come in here like this. We're gonna feed off that, but there's also still a lot in front of us.

I know Connecticut is definitely going to come stronger because they're going to be at home. We just have to continue to focus and know that to win we have to play great defense. That's what we do and we just have to do it well. We're going to be away, and we just have to focus that much harder.
