Coming in, I really didn't know what to expect. I knew that my girls could be good, but I didn't how exactly how good they could be. And for us to be able to hang five games with Rose, which is known as a powerhouse school, I'm surprised a little bit, but I like it.

New Bern did a good job in the second game getting the ball to their hitters. When they can do that they can be dangerous.

With those three key players missing for us we really needed some players to step it up. And that's what happened. Everyone stepped it up, plugged up those gaps and really played well.

We were chipping away inning by inning. The girls have been in that situation before, we beat Coleman in our last at-bat, so they understood what it was going to take. They gave it the best shot they could. They've never given up at any time this season and they've always given me 110 percent.

As a trainer it is quite an accomplishment for your dogs to perform in such a large, prestigious venue. It is so important to me to take a bunch of shelter dogs to a place like this, showing the world that you can teach an old dog new tricks.

The beauty of it is having all nine dogs out there at the same time. They're all unwanted dogs that no one else wanted.
