Companies will seek to compete on a global scale and that means merging companies. So the market has told us the way to go is to focus on and consolidate our core business.

We will see a volume of pressure on information systems that is unparalleled in history. Businesses have to operate in an increasingly automated way allowing the user more autonomy [to concentrate on other tasks]. At the same time they need greater availability of up-to-date and reliable information to be able to relate better to their counterparts in the supply chain.

The challenge facing companies today is flexibility. [Prior to this] companies were [primarily] concerned with lowering costs and increasing efficiency.

This gives us immediate relief to get them off the streets. If they enter illegally again, they can face gang violations and criminal sanctions.

If this is all the information that they manage to get out of C&W Panama, it will have no effect. If the court decision is wider-reaching, however, and if the company has to provide as much information as operators do in Brazil, then things might get interesting.
