Consolation games are tough, just by their nature. We got off to a slow start, and Dartmouth took it to us. We had our chances in the third period.

It's hard for the modern generation to understand Thoreau, who lived beside a pond but didn't own water skis or a snorkel.

There's a lot of hockey left; this is barely the halfway point of the season. We're not going to just sit on this one point lead. Standings are funny things; we can't focus on them. We need to focus on the next game ahead of us, and take each game one at a time.

We're pretty young, but we had a good year. I was pleased with the effort our young guys put forward. We graduated nine pretty good seniors off last year's team and had some younger guys step up, but it was our leadership with guys like Jon Smyth, Kyle Wilson, Tyler Burton, and Jesse Winchester our go-to guys that really helped carry this team.

It looks like the only way we're going to get to the NCAA Tournament is to win in Albany. But a lot of people didn't pick us to be here this year.

At this point in the season, you're going to get two very evenly matched teams and the outcome of the game will come down to a bounce of the puck. Cornell executed on their power-play and that turned out to be the difference.
