Count your age by friends, not years. Count your life by smiles, not tears.

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down 'happy'. They told me I didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn't understand life.

Walking by yourself in the forest, sitting on the bank of a lake, sailing the ocean alone, sitting on a hillside observing nature, or flying unaccompanied in a balloon over untouched land. These are what I refer to as ‘Self Preservation’ moments we all need to gather and filter our thoughts, thus enabling us to organize our lives mentally, without the outside distractions from others. In order to bring tranquility into your everyday life you must first find peace within yourself.

When you are living in the present, you know what's important now for you and you act on that knowing.

When you have nothing but love, you have everything. This means you must live as if you have nothing to hide, nothing to prove and nothing to lose.

Time doesn't seem to pass here: it just is.
