Dan Cleary came in and his face was sheet white ... and I apologized to him. I had no idea. I don't run the team. I'm just trying to win tonight. I wouldn't have done it that way. I don't joke about that stuff.

With the Olympics, and the so many guys away, and the no equipment (Olympians' equipment being lost early in the tri), all the stuff going on, we knew it would be tough. Going into this trip, we knew if we could get points (early) we'd be fine. I knew we'd be good today after a couple of days off.

I had no idea this thing was televised. Boy, is my face red.

We're going to have to face him (eventually), we don't look at it as catching a break. There is no denying he's a special pitcher, but the last couple nights (Joel) Pineiro and (Ryan) Franklin have pitched as well as anyone.

I have no idea where he is or what he's doing or if he's coming in September or October or November, who knows? ... I don't know what to expect. If the kid really wanted to be here, he'd be here. I'm upset with the whole thing.

When we started, we literally rolled wheelchairs on the ice. We had no idea it would become what it is today. I have two sons who play standup hockey. Watching these kids smile is just as rewarding as watching them.
