DeLay was always trying to push things as far as he could, to see what he could get away with. This may be one of the things he doesn't get away with.

Tom DeLay fears independent thinkers and fighters. I am both.

They're passing bills they know the president's going to veto. They're interested in confrontation. They have no interest in trying to really solve the problems this country faces. This is a do-nothing Congress.

The delay may give them the opportunity to negotiate instead of rushing to market.

What's missing in all this is DeLay is getting us to not talk about the facts in the case one more day. They don't want to deal with the charges. They are shopping for a friendly judge.
