Defense and rebounding were the keys. We did a great job of rebounding in the second half. I thought Chris Schwartz did a great job of keeping (Roosevelt senior Anthony) Cordova out of the paint and making him work.

We show-ed a lot of intensity on defense early. But we missed one of our point guards who is the spark for our defense.

And then there was [Secretary of Defense Donald] Rumsfeld coming out and saying, "I don't know when. I don't know where. But something bad is going to happen." And everyone else is saying, "Wait a minute, are you working with Miss Cleo or something? What is this, the Central Intuitive Agency?" . . . And you have Bush, hearing about all the fighting over Kashmir, and saying, "What? It's just a sweater!"

We constantly stress defense and that was the difference.

Well, defensively we're returning all of our starters so if I don't have confidence in our defense then we're in trouble. I expect more of the same.

Actually, I thought the offense, looking at the tape, played better than the defense,
