Defense wins games, and our kids came out with great intensity and we did everything we were supposed to do. I really thought that with the young team we played against, we really put a beating on them early.

I enjoy a game like this. The kids were nervous before the game. I was nervous before the game. You have to have little butterflies in your stomach. If not, you're not an athlete.

The kids just played an exceptional game. Defense right now is playing very strong with five shutouts in 10 games. I'm excited for the guys that they were able to have a good offensive output tonight, and I hope we can that into the next two games this week.

It was smart coaching against us. When they were up they held the ball, and we had to go and get them.

I just think, defensively, we brought our game.

I've always prided myself on teaching these kids defense. Like any other sport, defense wins championships and basketball games. Offensively, you're going to have off nights. But defensively, you can always play defense.
